The idea for Catch Tracking came up pretty naturally. We both fish, we both live in Ticino, and we both know that little paper booklet everyone has to carry. It’s required by law: every time you catch a fish, you write it down — date, species, weight, location. At the end of the season, you literally put it in an envelope and send it by post to the authorities. It's a tool that’s been used for years, and in many ways, it works. There's something nice about it, even — pulling it out by the water, flipping through past catches, the marks on the page.
